Saturation Fitting
saturation_fit generates temperature-dependent .sat databases for
particle models using saturationData(file="..."). Sample CoolProp properties:
saturation_fit fluid --fluid Water --backend HEOS --tmin 280 --tmax 320
For REFPROP, set COOLPROP_REFPROP_ROOT and ALTERNATIVE_REFPROP_PATH to
the directory containing its shared library and FLUIDS/, then choose
--backend REFPROP. --backend auto tries REFPROP before HEOS.
Use saturation_fit --help for command options.
Manual Inputs
To fit a constant liquid heat capacity of 4180 J/(kg K), save this as
heat_capacity.toml:
tmin = 280.0
tmax = 320.0
[functions]
cpL = 4180.0
Run:
saturation_fit manual --input heat_capacity.toml
Add properties as constants or quoted expressions in [functions].
Use SI units and T for temperature in K. A Psat function supplies
P in Pa to other expressions. Put named constants in [constants] and
shared expressions in [helpers]. Optional t_trip and t_crit set
the database’s header temperatures; they default to tmin and tmax.
