Catalyst Visualization
The catalyst module sends mesh and field data to ParaView Catalyst 2
pipelines during a run. Build with both Catalyst developer libraries and a
ParaView runtime as described in Optional Modules.
Pipeline Setup
Export a Catalyst 2 Python script with ParaView’s Save Catalyst State and
place it in catalyst_scripts/ in the run directory. Add to the case:
loadModule: catalyst
{
catalyst_plot_freq: 15
}
This runs the pipeline every 15 timesteps. Frequency zero (the default) runs
it every timestep. A pipeline’s own output-frequency limit also applies.
Choose point (default) or cell data with catalystOutputType.
Launch through the installed environment wrapper:
stream-catalyst-activate -- mpirun -np 4 /path/to/stream -q solution case
Exported Data
The default channel is grid. Set CATALYST_CHANNEL if the pipeline
expects another name. Available fields are rho, p, temperature,
k, omega, eddyViscosity, velocity v, and species mass fractions named
f<speciesName> (for example, fHe).
